Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouazazate
we will start Our first Day in 5 Days Desert tour from Marrakech to Fes after breakfast from (the riad or the hotel ) where you spent a night and we’ll start our trip from there via Tizi-Ntichka (Atlas Mountains)with its panoramic view and landscapes.
We’ll have lunch at the restaurant in Ait ben Haddou kasbah after you visit it, we’ll continue the way to Ouarzazate via studios of that city, you can have a suggestion if you want to visit these studios or not, then we’ll have to spend our first night in the hotel/riad.
Day 2: Ouarzazte Dades Valleu – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert
On the second day of our tour, we will begin in the morning after having breakfast. We will continue our journey through the Atlas Mountains towards Skoura. In Skoura, we will visit a special place called Kasbah Amridil. It is a magnificent historical site from the 17th century, which costs about 50 Moroccan Dirhams to enter. The kasbah is located a short distance away from the main road. It is like a living museum that showcases the traditional life of a kasbah throughout the centuries. Inside, you can see intricately carved door locks, olive oil presses, and functioning baking ovens. The kasbah used to be a place where animals were kept as well. It is divided into two parts, each with its own entrance. The part on the right has a more authentic feel and boasts a higher balcony.
Afterward, we will continue our journey through the Valley of the Roses, enjoying the scenic beauty of the palm trees and the green valley. We will then proceed to the Dades Valley and the Todra Gorges, where we can admire the stunning landscapes. Finally, we will make our way to the Merzouga Desert and spend the night in a hotel or riad.

Day 3: Explore Merzouga Desert – Erg Chebbi Dunes – Camel Ride & Camp
After having breakfast at the hotel, your 5 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes will begin with a visit to a village inhabited by black people who were originally slaves from Sudan, Mali, and Senegal. Here, you can immerse yourself in their music and lifestyle, learning about their unique culture. Later, we will journey across the desert to meet nomadic families who live in traditional Berber tents, providing you with the opportunity to explore their way of life. During the day, you will have a traditional Berber lunch, where you can savor the flavors of Berber pizza, in a local family’s home.
Next, we will visit the ancient city of Rissani, which holds great historical significance as the foundation of the Alawite dynasty, the current ruling royal family of Morocco. Rissani is surrounded by approximately 360 Ksars, fortified villages with many towers, and hosts a bustling souk, an open market, three times a week. Previously known as Sijilmassa, it served as a meeting point for salt caravans traveling from Timbuktu in Mali. You will have the chance to explore the souk and learn more about its vibrant atmosphere. Afterward, we will return to the village of Merzouga.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a camel ride led by an experienced guide, traversing the highest sand dunes in Morocco. The camel ride will last approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, taking you to a camp where you can witness a mesmerizing sunset and gaze at the stars. Dinner will be served at the camp’s restaurant, offering you a chance to indulge in a delicious meal. As the evening progresses, you will be entertained by the enchanting beats of traditional drum music played by local musicians, making your experience even more enjoyable. You will spend the night at the desert camp.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt
After enjoying breakfast at the desert camp, we will start our journey towards Midelt. Our first stop will be in Rissani, where we will explore one of the largest traditional markets in southeastern Morocco. It’s a bustling place full of vibrant colors and local products. Then, we will visit Erfoud, a city known for its fossil workshops. Here, you will have the opportunity to see various fossils that are found in the area.
Continuing our trip, we will discover the Ziz Valley, which is the main source of dates in Morocco. Driving along the Ait Chakr pass, we will make a stop at one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in Morocco. From there, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the thousands of palm trees in the Ziz Valley.
Our journey will then take us to Midelt. On the way, we will pass by the Errachidia dam, which was built by the government to provide water to the local residents. Finally, we will reach Midelt, where we will spend the night
Day 5: Midelt – Cedar Forest – Fez
The final day of our 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes has a different itinerary compared to the previous days. Today, we will visit one of the imperial cities of Morocco. But before that, we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains again, passing by the Cedar Forest, where we will make our first stop. After a short while, we will arrive at the city of Meknes.
Our exploration of Meknes will begin with a visit to Sahrij Souani, a beautiful lake located in the heart of the city. Then, we will continue our tour of Meknes and head to Lhdim Square and Bab Mansour, two important landmarks in the city. Afterward, we will leave Meknes and head to a nearby place called Volubilis, which is known for its Roman ruins. Volubilis was once the capital of the Mauritanian kingdom in ancient times.
Finally, we will make our way directly to Fes, where our service and tour come to an end.
